Good Friday

 

Luke chapters 22 and 23 detail Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Here are some questions and reflections on the reading.

 

Luke 22:3-4 What happened with Judas that changed him from a follower of Jesus to someone who would betray Jesus?

 

Luke 22:31-34 What does Peter’s denial teach us about faith? 

 

Luke 22:39-46 Note that Jesus tells his disciples to pray that they might not enter into temptation.  Why did he tell them twice?

 

Luke 23:50-55 Joseph of Arimathea is different from others on the council. The text says that he was looking for the Kingdom of God. What does that say about others on the council who demanded Jesus’s death?
